According to HP’s support team, you need to resort to factory defaults in order to reset the page count, tray size, language, etc. To restore your printer, perform the following steps:
- Switch off your printer.
- Disconnect all the power cables.
- After 2-3 seconds, plug in all cables.
- Turn on the printer and hold the resume button for about 30 seconds.
- Notice whether the attention light turns on.
- You have to release the resume button. When the attention and ready light cycles are on, your printer is resetting to factory defaults.

- You have to navigate the initial setup and press ok.

You can reset Samsung printers in two different ways:

- An option will appear on your desktop.
- Click on the menu key and press the Enter button.
- The tech mode option will appear on screen again.
- Press the < key twice.
- An operator panel will show the option for New Cartridge.
- Select the Enter option.
- The panel will show a yes option.
- You have to again press enter.
- Exit the tech mode option by pressing MENU #1 9 3 4 again.
Steps to Manually Reset the Process:
- Long press the power button till your printer’s LED switches off.
- Unplug the printer by removing its power cables.
- Wait for a few minutes and plug the cables back into your printer.
- Long press the power button for at least 2 to 3 seconds.
